The end of Jeleva's Saga

One of the most controversial candicay as EU Commissioner ended up with the resignation of Roumiana Jeleva. Accused of conflict of interests and of a poor performance at her hearing in front of the Parliament, Ms. Jeleva publicly announced her resignation from all political responsibilities on Tuesday on the 19the of January.  A vote on the new college is now scheduled for the 9the of February. Jeleva's designation has undoubtedly been one of the most  troubled since the one of Mr. Buttiglione, a couple of years ago. Behind these facts, hidden political battles and the European Parliament willing to show off its influence  on the decision  making have been grounds of discussion as well.
