One of the most controversial candicay as EU Commissioner ended up with the resignation of Roumiana Jeleva. Accused of conflict of interests and of a poor performance at her hearing in front of the Parliament, Ms. Jeleva publicly announced her resignation from all political responsibilities on Tuesday on the 19the of January. A vote on the new college is now scheduled for the 9the of February. Jeleva's designation has undoubtedly been one of the most troubled since the one of Mr. Buttiglione, a couple of years ago.
